The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, South West Zone, has just concluded elections, resulting in the selection of 45 new members across the six states of the zone to serve on the executive board for the next four years. Conducted on Tuesday, April 18, 2024, in Ibadan, Oyo State, members of the association turned up massively for the successful outcome of the elections conducted under the authority of Engr. Omololu Bolarinwa, Chairman, Real Estate Developers Electoral Committee.
Among the successful candidates are Dr. Tony Aspire Kolawole and Dr. Chidiebere Etoniru (Chaiman and Vice Chairman, REDAN, Lagos Chapter); Dr. Adeyemi Adeniyi and Engr. Eyitayo Oniwide (Chaiman and Vice Chairman, REDAN, Ogun Chapter); Dr. Muibi Hammed and Mr. Oluwaseun Owoseni (Chaiman and Vice Chairman, REDAN, Oyo Chapter); Dr. Adekunle Isreal and Mr. David Olabiyi (Chaiman and Vice Chairman, REDAN, Osun Chapter); Hon. Olayato Aribo and Architect Gbadebo Olamerun (Chaiman and Secretary, REDAN, Ondo Chapter); and Hon. Tomiwa Fayose (Chaiman, REDAN, Ekiti Chapter).
The current president of REDAN, Prince Akintoye Adeoye, was quoted by the REDAN South-West Zone Vice President, Dr. Kunle Adeyemi, as having expressed great pleasure in the process of the just concluded elections, describing it as the best organized in his over 16 years of being a REDAN executive.
Despite being the largest zone of the association, the Vice President takes pride in the election being assessed as free and fair, accurate, transparent, and credible. He felicitates with the new substantive board, wishing them a successful tenure. He does not fail to encourage them to be very efficient in their affairs, keeping their eyes on global standards and promoting unity within the association. Reminding them that they have been elected into their current positions, he adds that they must perform beyond minimum expectations.
In the midst of charging the forty-five (45) new members of the executive board, the Vice President adds that he has great faith in their abilities to triumph during their tenure, as these are individuals he describes as highly experienced and professional.
Dr. Adeyemi also goes on to share that all matters stemming from aggrieved members of the association before or during the election will be addressed by a three-man reconciliation team constituted by the President, REDAN, and Prince Adeoye. This team has Emmanuel King Adetola, GMD, Adron Homes, as Chairman; Surveyor Kazeem Ajiborode, former chairman, REDAN, Ondo Chapter, as Vice Chairman; and Mr. Babajide Ogunleye as Secretary. The reconciliation team has been given two weeks to report back and harmonize all members of the association to ensure peace and unity.
